High school students! Play challenging and exciting music! Work with the faculty from the School of Music!
The UA High School Honor Band now uses the same audition materials as the AMEA Regional/All-State Auditions!
Students will be selected via recorded auditions, which are submitted through the Honor Band application form. There is no charge to submit an audition. If accepted, students will pay a non-refundable $60 registration fee (complete details will be in the acceptance email).
Please note that attendance at ALL concerts, masterclasses, rehearsals, and events for the entire Honor Band Festival (Feb 6 afternoon through Feb 8 concert) are REQUIRED for all student participants attending the festival! No early departure nor arrive late to events can be allowed.

Audition Instructions
- Audio Recording Only (mp3, not mp4 nor wav files).
- Excerpt 1 is three scales of the student’s choice, all articulated, one octave.
- Excerpt 2 is a full, non-edited performance of Etudes 1, 2, and 3.
- Percussion may stop the recording between etudes to change instruments.
- Upload the files with your registration form.
